Fi Cotter - Director

Fi Cotter has over 20 years’ experience working as a planning practitioner and advisor to both the public and private sectors in statutory and strategic planning.   She now offers planning, environmental and community engagement expertise to clean and new technology projects from their inception to completion.  Fi specialises in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms, as well as new technologies around Australia.  She has extensive experience in working with remote and regional communities, and being from country Victoria, understands farming and agriculture, and the issues that affect these areas.

Fi and Shane met over ten years ago when she was running her own planning advisory firm which focused on projects in rural and regional communities.  Together, they have worked on over 20 solar farms and 10 wind farms across the country. Her work has exposed her to a range of large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia. She has obtained approvals for a number of renewable energy test projects including Bulgana Wind Farm, Nectar Farms Stawell facility, Bridgewater and Newbridge solar test facilities and was involved in the Amypyx power test facility outside of Winchelsea, Victoria.

Shane M - Director

Shane M led the approval for the first large-scale solar farm in Australia over a decade ago. He has been committed to the sector since.  Shane has originated ~700MW of large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia (2MW - 300MW in scale) and supported ~2GW of projects throughout their lifecycle including, siting, land negotiations, approvals and environmental management plans and compliance during construction.

Shane has successfully supported and led bids under the Federal Large Scale Solar Program and Victorian Renewable Energy Target (VRET) Auction. Shane also has worked extensively in the broader energy and sustainability sector including carbon and water management and sustainability metrics on large scale infrastructure projects (ISCA). Shane's mission is to enable the deployment of more renewables sooner.
